Fred has posted a touching farewell message to Manchester United, following the recent news of his upcoming departure from the club.
After it was confirmed on Friday evening that the 30-year-old has agreed a deal in principle with Turkish side Fenerbahce, the midfielder expressed his well wishes to United on social media.
Having joined the club from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk back in 2018, Fred made 213 appearances for the Reds across his five-year stint in M16.
A widely popular figure in and around the dressing room at Carrington, Fred began by giving his thanks to everyone connected with the club.

“Thanks for everything, Manchester United Football Club,” began the Brazilian, on Twitter earlier today.
“Today ends one of the most beautiful stages of my career. I lived the dream of wearing the shirt of one of the biggest clubs in the world.
“Going through ups and downs, I leave with the conviction that I always gave my best during all training sessions and games.
“It was five years of a true dream for me and my family. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity,” he added.
“Forever a Red!”
