Neil Warnock is on the brink of quitting as Huddersfield manager, talkSPORT understands.
The 74-year-old’s relationship with the Terriers’ hierarchy is at breaking point – despite Saturday’s 2-0 win over Rotherham.

And it is likely Wednesday’s visit of Stoke will be his last game in charge.
It is understood a mystery overseas boss has already been lined up in preparation for Warnock’s departure.
The ex-Sheffield United manager was appointed at the John Smith’s Stadium in February with the club sitting 23rd in the Championship table.
He defied the odds by keeping the Yorkshire outfit in the second-tier of English football with Huddersfield finishing in 18th spot.
Warnock then penned a one-year deal to keep him at the club until the end of the 2023/24 season.
But he looks poised to stand down, with Huddersfield currently in 16th place after six matches.
The former QPR boss addressed the media in his post-match press conference, where he insisted he would elaborate on his future on Monday.
He said: “I’m ever so proud of what we’ve achieved here. We have a press conference on Monday at one o’clock.

“It [social media] said it was my last game, so that’s wrong, isn’t it?
“I’ve enjoyed every minute here and am not prepared to talk about it tonight.”
Commenting on the visit of Stoke, he remarked: “Of course I will [be here for the game on Wednesday].
“I want to win, I want to beat Stoke. I’m just enjoying my football, the crowds and the atmosphere, and when I see the lads put in a performance like that.”
