Brett Griffin is mostly renowned for his unflinching eye on the NASCAR track. While spotting is what he does best, his attention was recently grabbed by an NFL youngster, Bailey Zappe from the New England Patriots. So much so, that Griffin was left confused about who the new kid on the block was. Making a note of this performance in his usual flamboyant and not-so-subtle manner, he posed a question on the social platform X.

With the Patriots going through a lean patch in terms of results, the star-quarter back came in clutch for his team registering their first opening-drive touchdown of the season. With his spotting not just limited to the race tracks but spreading as far as the NFL pitch, Griffin initially posted a somewhat bizarre statement online after the Patriots clinched the game against the Steelers.

With little to no knowledge about the young quarterback, Brett Griffin did make a somewhat inquisitive remark. Taking to the social media platform X, Griffin posted, “I mean this with zero disrespect. Who Da**k is Bailey Zappe?
But soon he dialled back on his previous comment adding, “Scored more points in one half than they scored the 3 previous games combined. Guess he’s pretty good.” Thus stamping a seal of approval for the young No.4.

Griffin over the years has built a reputation for himself. From starting as a PR representative to being a spotter in NASCAR and now a podcaster, he sure has come a long way. It has to be noted, that he is still an active spotter along with his exploits in the marketing segment. So anything and everything he says does hold significant weight. So was the case for the 24-year-old quarterback.

It can be said that Griffin is a jack of all trades and this has made him one of the well-known personalities in motorsports. A journey that started from a small town Pageland, South Carolina, has been a surreal experience for the veteran spotter.
He opened up about this feeling while speaking to Forbes in October last year, he said, “It’s surreal for me to think back and talk about it. You don’t stop to look backwards because, if you do, you’ll get passed by everybody who’s trying to do what you’re doing.
“This conversation gives me chills because I’ve come a long way from a really small town with a very humble beginning. I grew up with a single mom. It’s almost like I’ve defied the odds.”
