The odds for Saturday’s IRONMAN World Championship in Kona continue to be wide open, and we have more swings to report as the countdown to go time draws ever nearer on the big island on Hawaii.
It’s the first time the women have had 100% of the spotlight on them in Kona, with the men this year having already raced in Nice, France.
And the incredible start list prompted UK bookmaker Sky Bet to open a market on who will win – something which didn’t happen for the men’s equivalent.
Latest odds with Ryf drifting
The big news ahead of go time is that we now have joint favourites at the head of the betting, while five-time champion Daniela Ryf has very few friends when it comes to putting the money down.
Kona rookie Taylor Knibb and German star Anne Haug now lead the way with both being quoted at odds of 7/2 (+350 in American terms), ahead of strongly-supported British pair Lucy Charles-Barclay and Kat Matthews (both 4/1 or +400).
Next comes Ryf, now out to 6/1 having opened up as the early favourite just a couple of days ago. Almost unthinkable just four months out from that all-time full-distance best time at Challenge Roth.

Another athlete who has come in for little support on the betting front is defending champion Chelsea Sodaro. The shock winner in 2022 is out from an opening 4/1 to 7/1. Next comes German star Laura Philipp on 9/1.
Britain’s Fenella Langridge and Sweden’s Lisa Norden are both 12/1 with Americans Sarah True and Skye Moench 14/1 and 16/1 respectively.
