Al Nassr have already begun their 2023/24 season, with the Arab Club Champions Cup raising the curtain on the new campaign for the Saudi Club.
Held every four years, Saudi Arabia is serving as host nation for the 2023 event. Thus, the tournament organizers Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA) selected Al Nassr as this year’s host invitee.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Al Nassr were drawn into Group C alongside fellow Saudi club Al Shabab, Egyptian side Zamalek, and Moroccan club Union Monastirienne. They drew 0-0 with Al Shabab to open group stage action, and now Monastir is up next.
With Ronaldo still searching for his first trophy as an Al Nassr player, will it be the Arab Club Champions Cup that breaks the duck?

Will Ronaldo play against Monastir?
Cristiano Ronaldo came off the bench in their first group stage match against Al Shabab, entering in the 62nd minute and unable to prevent the goal less draw.
Three days later, Ronaldo is expected to start, as is the other Al Nassr star forward Anderson Talisca, who also entered the Al Shabab match as a substitute.
The 37-year-old Ronaldo was a full participant in Al Nassr’s two preseason friendlies in Japan against Inter and PSG, starting both and playing at least a full half in each game. After his substitute appearance over the weekend, he should be rested and fit for a starting role on Monday.
