On one hand, Collin’s Instagram pic showcases Murray-Boyles holding Kitts in his arms, while Kitts’ profile picture showcases her holding the rim with Murray-Boyles carrying her in up. This depicts their strong connection and mutual support for one another.
Coming back to their relationship, Kitts has been quite active on Instagram. In one of Murray-Boyles posts from January, Kitts wrote, “oh heyyy” in the comments. Moving on to February, she wrote, “all eyes on you 30” on a video montage of the game against Ole Miss that he had posted. The emergence of Collin Murray-Boyles
Born in June, 2005, Murray-Boyles’ basketball journey began at A.C. Flora High School in Forest Acres, South Carolina. There, during his junior season, he averaged in double-double with 18.3 points, and 11.4 rebounds, along with 5.3 blocks per game, carrying his team to the state championship. As a result, he was named the Class 4A Player of the Year.
After spending two more year at Flora, he then transferred to Wasatch Academy in Mount Pleasant in Utah for his senior season. There, he averaged 15 points and 8.8 rebounds per game and ranked 3rd in points and 1st in rebounds respectively, within the conference. His remarkable gameplay earned him a consensus 4-star recruit status and also, he secured a spot among the top 100 players across the United States due to his performance at Wasatch. He then committed to play for the Gamecocks.

However, before making his college debut as a Gamecock, Murray-Boyles contracted infectious mononucleosis, aka glandular fever, which is an infection caused by the EBV (Epstein-Barr Virus). This infection in young adults often results in fever, sore throat, enlarged lymph nodes in the neck, and fatigue. As a result, Murray-Boyles missed a significant time before his collegiate basketball career could take off this season.
Then, his time began at South Carolina where he became the top player upon return. He was also named the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Freshman of the Week in February, followed by his 31-point game against Vanderbilt. Though a freshman, Murray-Boyles’ regular season average tallied 10.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game, shooting beyond the arc with 59.7%. In this season, he has accoladed 292 points, 159 rebounds, 49 assists, 28 blocks, and 29 steals. In addition, at the end of the regular season he was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team.
As one of the younger players in the upcoming potential draftees’ class, Murray-Boyles will be turning 19, just over two before this year’s NBA draft of 2024. As mentioned above, he performed impressively throughout as a freshman. In other words, he is the rising college basketball star who has the combination of commendable skillset.
