Spencer Oliver has angrily slammed Ryan Garcia after his failed drugs tests.
Garcia defeated bitter rival Devin Haney in a sensational upset after dropping him three times, despite missing the 140lbs weight limit by 3lbs prior to the win.

His glory has now been thrown into controversy, as it emerged that Garcia tested positive for ostarine in two separate VADA drugs tests which were taken on the day before and on the day of the Haney win.
During a discussion on talkSPORT’s White and Jordan show, Oliver did not hold back and urged for Garcia to be banned for life if he is found guilty.
He said: “Very disappointed. 26 years ago today I nearly lost my life in the ring to life-threatening injuries so I know the dangers better than anyone.
“I don’t condone drugs they are not acceptable in the sport, it is a combat and gladiatorial sport and you can lose your life.
“I think this is a case of he has has been caught, it is a disgrace and there needs to be a heavier punishment.
“I think that anyone who gets caught with drugs in boxing should be banned for life. I’m fed up with it.
“I’m sick and tired of them saying ‘I don’t know what the drug is’, but you came in 3lbs overweight.
“He knows only too well what it is, listen it is not acceptable and you need to start throwing the book at these people.

The New York Commission are investigating the two positive tests for ostarine in VADA drug tests, and will make a decision on action to be taken.

Garcia also tested positive for a metabolite of nandrolone, but the result has yet to be confirmed and is pending further enquiry in the laboratory.
It is a drug which has history in the sport, with Amir Khan having received a ban in 2022 for his own positive test for ostarine after facing Kell Brook.
Despite the nature of the tests, Garcia has taken to social media to furiously deny he ‘cheated’ in his clash with Haney.
“I came on here to address this bull-f***ing-s*** claim that I cheated,” he said in a video.
“Everybody knows that I don’t cheat.
“What can I say? Why didn’t they come out with this before the fight if they found it before? Why would they let me step into the ring as a cheater, come out with the victory, and then they post this?”
