The talkSPORT Trophy descended into rather amusing chaos after a nervy 18-17 win for Ally McCoist’s Team Breakfast.
The legendary striker and current Breakfast host guided his team to a narrow victory over an All Stars team coached by Alan Pardew and popstar Olly Murs, which was live on talkSPORT radio and its YouTube channel.

Murs had earlier brought himself on to take a crucial penalty, but missed, and felt the heat, with the game eventually decided by a single goal on a south London five-a-side pitch.
Then, with the full-time whistle blown, Murs approached McCoist and the duo hilariously recreated the victor’s iconic touchline scrap with Neil Lennon.
Rangers legend McCoist was managing the Glasgow side in 2011 when he almost came to blows with opposite number Lennon in the Celtic dugout.
Explaining how the repeat came about, McCoist said with a laugh: “The game was settled by an Olly Murs missed penalty – who’d have thought that?
“I thought some of his comments during the game were ridiculous, he came over and wanted some confrontation and he got it.
“I reminded him about the missed penalty and he didn’t take it too well.”
Murs himself commented: “I’ll take responsibility, I came on, took a penalty and thought I was making talkSPORT history.”
While his manager Pardew joked: “He’s made some terrible decisions today, including subbing himself on to take the penalty.

“He’s got a lot to learn and hopefully he’ll learn it quickly.”
A cheeky grin from McCoist at the end of the ‘scrap’ told you they are pals at the end of the day.
Cundy, though, told his Sports Bar (10pm-12am) listeners later that evening he’s not happy with the number of professional players Team Breakfast play.
“This has to be looked at – at one stage there were four at one time,” he said.
Jamie O’Hara, his co-host agreed. “We had [talkSPORT football correspondent Alex Crook] and [former boxing champion] Spencer Oliver!”
They then joked they didn’t rate McCoist as a coach. “He lost the dressing room,” they said laughing.
Still, the talkSPORT Trophy is yet another honour for McCoist to add to his impressive trophy cabinet…
