Jason Cundy says he doesn’t plan to shave until Chelsea win their next match, although he’s worried he’s making a big mistake.
After a poor 2022/23 season which saw them finish 12th in the Premier League, Chelsea have made a slow start with just five points from their opening five league matches.

And Cundy won’t lose the facial hair until Chelsea win again
In fact, this term has seen them make their second worst start to a Premier League season with just one win – a 3-0 victory over Luton, who are yet to get a point – under their belt.
After ten days without using the razor, former Chelsea player Cundy is growing himself a nice beard, although he’s struggling with the itching on his face.
But like Mauricio Pochettino’s men are struggling, in a sort of show of solidarity, Cundy has decided to put up with the itchy face until his side gets another victory.
But looking at Chelsea’s fixtures, as well as international breaks in October and November, Cundy is worried he will be forced to let the beard grow for up to three months.
“I don’t know if I can go through with this… I haven’t had a shave for ages, about ten days, and I’ve got this beard and I tell you what it ain’t half itchy!” Cundy said on The Sports Bar.
“It’s horrible, you’ve got to go through the itchy period to grow a beard?
“And I’m thinking now, to put myself through it, I might not shave until Chelsea get their next win. I won’t be shaving until December, I’ll look like Fiddler on the Roof!”
Sports Bar host Jamie O’Hara said Cundy’s now got to go through with it now he’s mentioned it on national radio.

O’Hara insists Cundy has to go through with it even though Chelsea can’t be relied on to come up with the goods
“I mentioned it to my wife over the weekend and she said she doesn’t like me with the beard…” Cundy added as he proceeded to look into Chelsea’s fixture list.
Aston Villa (H) – “That’s probably one point… not convinced we get the win.”
Brighton (H) – “I think we’re out of the Carabao Cup.”
“There are a couple of winnable games but we’ve had a lot of winnable games – we’ve got Fulham away and then Burnley away, on October 7th,” Cundy added.

“Here’s the absolute killer, there’s an international break. I can’t go through the international break.”
Failure to win would stretch Cundy’s beard game to well over a month, and the fixtures show no sign of letting up in terms of difficulty level after the October internationals.
“This is where I’m worried,” Cundy said. “After the international break we’ve got Arsenal at home and Brentford at home.
“Then we’ve got your mob (Tottenham) away, then Man City at home, Newcastle away – by the way in between all that there’s another international break.
“I’m now into December, what am I going to look like? We then have Brighton at home, then Man United away. Ah, I’ve just seen it, that’s where the three points are going to come from!”
