Jeremy Doku praised his teammates for being “so easy” to play alongside after Manchester City’s 6-1 thrashing of Bournemouth on Saturday.
Belgium international Doku was the standout performer in the Cityzens’ obliteration of the Cherries, totting up a whopping five goal involvements with four assists and the opening strike of the contest.
City have now scored more goals than any other team in the Premier League this season, sitting ahead of the likes of Aston Villa, Newcastle, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham, and Doku said his role in the team is made straightforward by the talent of his colleagues at the Etihad.
He said: “I’m very proud but in this team it is so easy because there is a lot of movement.
“Everybody is top and when you play with top players it is easy to find the right pass, to find the right time to do something.
“Honestly, I knew when I had to go, I found the right balance and I think that was the most important.
“It was a good performance from me, from the team, so I’m very happy.”

After Doku’s opening goal, he set up Bernardo Silva, Manuel Akanji, Phil Foden and Silva again before Nathan Ake grabbed City’s sixth goal from Oscar Bobb’s assist.
Doku is in competition with Jack Grealish for the left wing spot but this showing may have earned the former Rennes star a start in the Champions League against Young Boys on Tuesday.
“Yes, and not just the first time this season,” manager Guardiola responded when asked if he was impressed by Doku’s efforts.
“But he’s not just one against one and one against two. He surprised all of us – he’s a great footballer.
“It’s incredible how he changes the rhythm in five metres. After that when he’s not able to dribble, he takes good decisions and I’m impressed by that.
“That’s why for me he’s a great, great footballer.”
