Joe Cordina vs. Edward Vazquez undercard: Complete list of fights before main event in 2023 boxing match

Joe Cordina vs. Edward Vazquez undercard: Complete list of fights before main event in 2023 boxing match

Before he can attempt to unify the super featherweight division, Joe Cordina must defend his status as IBF world champion. The Welsh boxer puts his title on the line against Edward Vazquez in in Monte Carlo on November 4. The 12-round bout will air on DAZN worldwide.

After getting stripped by the IBF when a hand injury put him out of action, Cordina (16-0) had a point to prove when he returned against Shavkat Rakhimov in April 2023. Winning via split decision, Cordina regained the title he never lost in the ring.

Now, the 31-year-old defends the belt and hopes a win brings him closer to fights against fellow champions O’Shaquie Foster (WBC), Emanuel Navarrete (WBO), and Hector Garcia (WBA).

Vazquez (15-1) is on a four-fight win streak, with his last contest being a unanimous decision win over Brayan De Gracia in July. Ranked 10th by the IBF, Vazquez has a chance to change things up within the division.
