Johnny Fisher hoping for double victory on Saturday night as he targets KO of Alen Babic immediately after England vs Switzerland

Johnny Fisher has told talkSPORT.com that he wants Saturday to be a successful evening for both himself and the England football team.

The unbeaten heavyweight prospect is set to face Croatia’s Alen Babic in an important step up at the Copper Box Arena in London, just hours after England’s Euro 2024 quarter-final clash with Switzerland.

Fisher will be having his first headline fight as he looks to move to 12-0, and hopes to see England progress shortly before his own triumph.

The match will be played on big screens for fans in the arena to watch during a break in the early stages of the undercard.

“The fans are so important,” Fisher told talkSPORT.com about his ‘Bosh Army’ supporters who are set to fill up the Copper Box.

“But ultimately, winning is my priority. England are playing, and I hope they win too, but my job is to beat Babic…

“I’m looking to get the job done early.”

The fight looks set to be a lively affair, as Fisher’s calculated approach collides with Alen Babic’s famous aggression

“Yeah, of course he is [coming for a scrap],” Fisher said with confidence, referencing Babic’s brawling style.

“He’s going to come and try to take my head off, but I’m going to do it first.”

Having the experienced Mark Tibbs in his corner has further bolstered Fisher’s preparation.

“He’s a great trainer, a great cornerman, and he knows his stuff,” Fisher said in praise.

“He’s been there and done it, and I couldn’t ask for a better man in my corner.”

While a knockout would be a welcome outcome, victory is the sole focus for Fisher on Saturday night.

“All I care about is winning,” he concluded, “Whether that’s a points decision or a round one knockout.

“It doesn’t matter. I’ve just got to beat Alen Babic.”
