Kingpyn Boxing: King Kenny vs. Whindersson Nunes live fight updates, results, highlights from 2023 boxing High Stakes tournament

Eight fights between some of the best-known internet celebrities in the world are set to take place in Dublin on Saturday.

King Kenny and Whindersson Nunes provide the headline bout of what is sure to be another entertainingly unusual event as Kingpyn Boxing’s High Stakes tournament enters the semifinals.

The quarterfinals were held at London’s Wembley Arena in April, and the finals are likely to take place later in 2023.

Can’t be there in person but want to follow the fights? The Sporting News will have live updates from the Three Arena throughout the evening.

7.45 p.m. BST: Next up, it’s Ms Danielka – a Pole with a kickboxing background – against Daniella Helmsley. Danielka, pictured to the left of her opponent below, makes her way to the ring in pink, having what appears to be vaseline applied to her face before vaulting the ropes.

Helmsley enters second, wearing a black outfit.

7.40 p.m. BST: Whitney Johns looks every inch the fitness enthusiast and cover model she is as she takes to the mic looking unblemished following a deserved unanimous decision (50-45) victory over Amber O’Donnell, who offered little back for much of their fight.

“Thank you so much,” Johns says in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it interview before offering a hand in a blue surgical glove to the referee. “Thanks for cheering me on. You guys are amazing.”

7.20 p.m. BST: A fight in the losers bracket begins between Amber O’Donnell, in green, white and red trunks with cornrows, and Whitney Johns.

O’Donnell has much the better of the opening round, leaving Johns with bruising around her eyes as she stands for the second stanza.

7 p.m. BST: There’s a defeat for Dublin fighter Declan Kenna in the second prelim of the evening, losing on points after a close bout with British opponent Goldn Boyz!

6.30 p.m. BST: There’s been an early finish in our first prelim fight here: Irish boxer and TikTok star Ben Williams whipped in some heavy shots to take out countryman and comedian Black Paddy in the first round in a wildcard fight.

The DAZN commentary team seemed a little bemused by how quick that fight was. The contestants shared a hug in a corner afterwards.

6 p.m. BST: Jully Poca and Elle Brooke and Elle Brooke will meet tonight in the winners bracket. Poca beat Daniella Hemsley in the quarterfinals, while Brooke extended her perfect record by winning her third fight on that occasion, defeating Aleksandra Daniel. Here’s how the pair looked when they faced off.

5.30 p.m. BST: “We’re getting ready for my fight,” said King Kenny this afternoon, posing with a full pint of Guinness that had been wisely unsupped from. “It’s going to be light work.”

Here’s how the prankster, who has won three and lost two of his bouts so far, looked alongside his opponent at the weigh-in.
