‘This is why he’s the king’ – Kraft takes World Cup overall title with huge jump in Vikersund
Stefan Kraft and Eirin Maria Kvandal both sealed Raw Air titles with victories in Vikersund as the Ski Jumping World Cup heads towards its conclusion.
Kraft took victory in the first of two men’s events on Sunday, edging compatriot Daniel Huber before the pair swapped places in the afternoon.
That was enough for Raw Air victory with Kraft taking his fourth stage win of the tournament with 256 points, 7.8 points ahead of Huber, with Domen Prevc in third.
Huber was then atop the podium later in the day as a jump of 244m yielded a score of 689.2, 17.3 better than Kraft who was comfortably ahead of Timi Zajac in third.
Kraft’s Raw Air title joins his large crystal globe having already wrapped up the overall title this season.
There was also Raw Air success for Kvandal, who earned her seventh win of the tournament to seal victory.
Kvandal finished ahead of compatriot Silje Opseth on home snow, a score of 431.2 points six better than her fellow Norwegian, with Ema Klinec 55.3 points back in third.
