KTM POWERED 2023 HONDA CR300: 2-STROKE TUESDAY

What would a 2023 Honda CR300R two-stroke look like? John Murray is a self proclaimed “Honda Guy” and is just one of the thousands of people around the world that would absolutely love if Honda started producing two-stroke competition motorcycles again. Rather than wait for Honda to do something Murray went to work in his garage and built the KTM powered Honda CR300R that is the focus on this week’s 2-Stroke Tuesday .

John Murray used OEM KTM and Honda parts but did splurge on some bolt-on items from companies like FMF, ODI, Race Tech, Dubya, Rekluse, Dunlop and the crew at Decal Works toped the project off with a custom set of graphics.

The details might not be as polished as we are used to but it gets the job done and thats all that matters.

The FMF pipe doesn’t just slip right-on and required some modifications and brackets built to make it work.

Hydraulic clutch and an electric start are things that the Honda two-stroke faithful could only dream about. Until now!
