Anthony Davis powered the Los Angeles Lakers to a 120-109 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves with a historic stat line.
Davis became the first player in NBA history to record 25 points, 25 rebounds, five assists and five steals in the win.
Meanwhile LeBron James racked up 29 points, nine assists and eight rebounds on 10-for-16 shooting to help down a shorthanded Minnesota team.
The Timberwolves were missing Rudy Gobert with a hamstring issue and Kyle Anderson to a right shoulder injury, alongside ongoing absences from Karl-Anthony Towns and Monte Morris.

Anthony Davis has both a season-high 23 rebounds and a season-high 10 offensive rebounds to go along with his career-high 7 steals.
Sunday’s lineup marked the Timberwolves’ ninth different starting five of the season, according to Alan Horton of Wolves Radio.
Despite those roster limitations, the Timberwolves claimed a late lead thanks to a 20-3 run in the third quarter.
Minnesota’s hopes of holding onto that advantage were short-lived. Los Angeles responded by putting Davis and James on the court, sparking a 26-6 run in the fourth.
James had 21 points in the second half alone.

LeBron and Anthony Davis have taken over this Lakers -Wolves game in the 4th quarter. They have shut down defensively and made a meal of the Wolves’ defence. AD with a 20-20 game and LeBron on the verge of a triple double. Great 21-4 run to start the fourth quarter. #Lakeshow

The Lakers are at their best when LeBron and AD are dominating the game in ways other than scoring
Tonight it’s AD’s rebounding and defense and it’s LeBron’s passing
Davis and James will return to action Wednesday as the Lakers head up north to take on the Sacramento Kings.
