Jake Humphrey revealed in May he was stepping down from his role at BT Sport after being the face of their coverage for a decade.

Replacing him is ‘Woodsy’, who had an emotional departure from her role as a talkSPORT Breakfast presenter in June.

A two-time SJA British Sports Journalism Awards Sports Presenter of the Year winner, she certainly has the experience to her name.

Woods will host TNT Sports’ exclusive coverage of the Champions League as well as major live nights of boxing.

And joining her is an all female presenting team who include Reshmin Chowdhury, Lynsey Hipgrave and Jules Breach.

talkSPORT’s very own Ally McCoist, who entertained millions of Breakfast show listeners alongside Woodsy, will make his way onto their co-commentary and punditry for the Premier League and Champions League matches.

Joining Woody and Ally are BT Sport regulars Rio Ferdinand, Peter Crouch and Joe Cole, while Rachel Brown-Finnis, Owen Hargreaves, Steve McManaman, Joleon Lescott, Michael Owen, Paul Scholes and Robbie Savage will also be on hand for football punditry.

Woodsy signed off from talkSPORT with an emotional message for the listeners and co-presenters in June.

“Thank you everyone. I’ve done all the speeches and stuff, so I’ll try not to bore you as I know lots of you just want to know what’s going on in sport like where Declan Rice is going.

“There’s just a final couple of things I wanted to say. Whoever gets this job next, whoever has the pleasure of sitting in this chair, I don’t think I realised until I got it the impact you can have on people’s lives.

“That’s been the biggest thing I’ve learnt, the power of this station and this chair and the people you get to work with.

“This job is the best thing you will experience. The people you get to speak to, everywhere you go, this station is just a cut through.

“You don’t realise how many people listen to it. I’ve said it before, it is the biggest honour of my life. If I could stay in this job forever I would and I said here today and went through a billion emotions thinking can I do a Wolf of Wall Street? ‘I’m not leaving!’ But I couldn’t do it.

“I have to for now, but I genuinely want to come back. I’ll always have a special place for this station in my heart.

“I don’t see it as goodbye forever, but goodbye for now. I cannot say thank you enough, I really wasn’t sure I’d be right for this role. I didn’t think I had the minerals, I didn’t think I could follow Alan Brazil.

“I couldn’t have done it without this constant interaction with fans. Good or bad, it is constant company.

“It has been the most wonderful period of my life. I do not expect I will ever replace it, so thank you to you guys. You know what you mean to me, you all do behind the glass.

“You’ve made my time here special. Thank you for having faith to put me in this role.

“Our listeners, first and foremost, the first thing I wake up to and the thing I will miss the most. Thank you.

“It’s not goodbye forever. I’m so glad I got through that without blubbing. I was like ‘I’ve got to stop crying’, I think I’ve done it at various points throughout the show so much that I’m okay now.

“I’m excited and I’ll be back very soon.”

Although Woodsy has gone, she will very much remain part of the talkSPORT family.
