Which team are you rooting for to win the 2024 LCS Spring Split?
The start of the 2024 LCS season is just around the corner. Eight of North America’s best squads will battle over multiple weeks of non-stop LCS action. All eyes will be on the new kings of North America, NRG, who are looking to retain their crown after their victorious Summer Split campaign, which was topped off by a Worlds 2023 quarter-final appearance. ESTNN will review the eight teams competing in the 2024 LCS Spring Split, the format, the prize pool, and more.
Who Are The Eight Teams Competing In LCS 2024 Spring Split?
As mentioned above, only eight teams are competing in the upcoming 2024 LCS Spring Split. This comes after the news announced last year that Evil Geniuses and Golden Guardians will depart from the league. As of the time of writing this article, Riot has not outlined any plans on whether the LCS will revert to ten teams in the future.

What Is The 2024 LCS Spring Split Format?
Fans hoping for a change in the format for the upcoming Spring Split will be left disappointed. LCS Commissioner Mark Zimmerman announced via his 2024 LCS Update video that the format for the forthcoming split would remain unchanged. Eight teams will compete across a double round-robin regular season. Every game will be a best-of-one, with the top six teams qualifying for the Spring Split playoffs. The top four teams will start their campaign in the upper bracket, while the bottom two will start in the lower bracket. Every series in the playoffs will be a best-of-five, with the top two teams at the end of the playoffs qualifying for the 2024 Mid-Season Invitational in China.
What Is The LCS 2024 Spring Split Prize Pool?
As was the case in 2023, the LCS teams will be competing for a share of the $200,000 Prize pool, according to Liquidpedia. Only the top four teams will receive a share of the prize pool despite six teams competing in the playoffs. Here is how the prize pool is distributed:
1st: $100,000 + MSI 2024 Qualification
2nd: $50,000 + MSI 2024 Qualification
3rd: $30,000
4th: $20,000
