Leeds v Norwich preview

Two in-form sides meet in the Championship meet on Wednesday night as Leeds and Norwich go head-to-head.

The home side have won their last four matches ahead of their meeting with the Canaries, with three of those games ending in 3-0 victories.

Their 2-1 home win against Preston on Sunday means they head into their midweek tie this week in fourth place, five points shy of Ispwich in the second and final automatic promotion spot, and with a healthy 12-point cushion on the teams outside the play-offs.

Daniel Farke’s side boast the best home record in the Championship this season and are the only team yet to be beaten on their home patch, winning 11 of the 15 matches they’ve played at Elland Road in all competitions this season, including 10 of their last 11.

Norwich make the trip to Yorkshire on a win streak of their own, with their 2-0 win over West Brom their third on the trot, taking their unbeaten run to five matches.

David Wagner’s side were down in the bottom half of the table just a fortnight ago, but now find themselves in eighth place, knocking on the door of the top six with just a couple of points separating the two.

With no other second tier action until the weekend, a win for the Canaries would see them climb into the play-off spots for at least a week, with the FA Cup this weekend meaning a sparse sprinkling of Championship fixtures.

The Norfolk side have lost two of their last three fixtures on the road in the league, but having taken seven points off three of the top seven in their last three league games, they’ll back themselves to return from West Yorkshire with a positive result.

Leeds have won each of the last three meetings between the two sides, though each by only one goal, and have lost only once at home to Norwich in their last five games at Elland Road.

📝 Leeds v Norwich betting tips

Leeds head into Wednesday’s match as favourites but with both teams high on confidence it could prove a very even encounter.

Bet365’s boost of Norwich to win or draw, both teams to score and Jonathan Rowe to score, the young Norwich star having netted in each of his last two league games to make him the top scorer for either team this season, to 14/1, could prove a money maker.
