Manchester United could make a move for Copenhagen 17-year-old Roony Bardghji, who recently scored the winner at Old Trafford for the Danish side in the UEFA Champions League.
“Sir Jim Ratcliffe is plotting to beat a host of Premier League giants to the signing of Copenhagen wonderkid Roony Bardghji,” an article in the Mirror states.
“The Kuwait-born Sweden youth international is being monitored by multiple Premier League clubs, but French side Nice could make the first move.
“Nice will face competition, though, as Chelsea, Newcastle and Crystal Palace are reported to be among the English top-flight teams who are keen on acquiring Bardghji’s sought-after signature. The 17-year-old winger, who prefers to play on the right flank and cut inside on his left foot, has scored eight goals in 20 appearances across all competitions this season.
“Thanks to his playing style, Bardghji is nicknamed the ‘Swedish Messi’ and attracted attention from the likes of Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Ajax during his move to Copenhagen from native giants Malmo three years ago. But his dream club is none of those.
“Bardghji’s 87th-minute goal against United took his stock to new heights and the Danish heavyweights will be able to offer him a lucrative contract following his 18th birthday next Wednesday. A new and improved deal would drive up Copenhagen’s asking price, which is currently said to be around £10 million.”
United prepared to pay £52m for Inacio
Manchester United are prepared to pay Sporting Lisbon £52 million for defender Goncalo Inacio, according to reports, which could spell the end of Raphael Varane’s time at the club.
An article in the Manchester Evening News reads: “Reports from Portuguese outlet Correio da Manha credit United with interest in Inacio and suggest United would be open to activating the release clause next summer. [Raphael] Varane, meanwhile, has been backed to depart Old Trafford with Saudi Arabian clubs said to be monitoring his situation and availability.
“The centre-back remains under contract until 2027 with a mooted £52 million release clause. United, Liverpool and several other top European clubs are understood to be keeping an eye on Inacio this season.”
Inacio, 22, has been a standout player for Sporting since breaking through their youth academy and has played 138 times for the club. His recent form has been rewarded with a call up to the Portugal side and he has now been capped twice.
Liverpool travel to Brazil for Beraldo talks
Liverpool chiefs have reportedly travelled to Brazil for talks with Sao Paulo over a £20m move for defender Lucas Beraldo.
A report in The Sun states: “Reds negotiators met with Sao Paulo star Beraldo, 19, after a game last week and hope to persuade him to join.
“Jurgen Klopp needs to sign a fresh player for the position and could swoop as early as January if a price can be agreed.
“Liverpool have been on the trail of under-20 cap Beraldo for months but have taken it to the next level with a face to face summit.
“Left sided Beraldo has been with Sao Paulo since he was a kid and has emerged as a first team regular recently.
“Liverpool could offer him a quick route into their side and the fact he can also qualify to play in Europe next year is also a plus.
“The Merseysiders want to move fast in case rivals come in with better bids and they are keen to get the player on their side before an auction starts.”
