The summer transfer window is now around the corner and Man United will be out to improve their squad as they prepare for a return to the Champions League.

The Red Devils have been rejuvenated under Erik ten Hag this season, finishing third, winning the Carabao Cup and still having the FA Cup final to play.

However, they will want to be challenging for the Premier League title next campaign and some huge additions are being targeted to compete with rivals Manchester City at the top of the table.

  • Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign Benfica star Goncalo Ramos.

    The Sun claim the £80million-rated striker could fit the bill as a cheaper alternative to Harry Kane.

    It remains to be seen if Kane will leave Tottenham this summer.

    Newcastle, West Ham, Aston Villa and Spurs have all also been linked to Ramos with Benfica hoping to start a bidding war.

  • Manchester United have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Napoli defender Kim Min-jae.

    Both the Red Devils and Newcastle had been chasing the centre-back, but he looks set to be joining Bayern Munich.

    Journalist Fabrizio Romano said: “The agreement between Bayern and Kim Min-jae is at final stages, details to be sorted on 5 year deal. He’s prepared to accept, not signed yet.

    “The release clause will become valid on July 1 — unless other clubs send new bigger salary proposal next week, Kim will join Bayern.”

  • Marcus Rashford is set to become Manchester United’s top earner amid reports he will pen a new deal.

    The Sun report that Rashford will pen an extension worth £375,000-a-week.

    He is currently on £200,000-a-week and will move to the top of the earner’s list as David de Gea will either leave or sign a new deal on less money.

  • Manchester United are readying a bid for Jordan Pickford amid uncertainty around David de Gea’s future.

    De Gea is out of contract this summer but negotiations are ongoing over a new deal on reduced wages.

    Erik ten Hag is keen on signing a new goalkeeper whatever happens with De Gea and Everton’s Pickford is a top target.

  • Christian Eriksen has admitted that he ‘can see’ Denmark teammate Rasmus Hojland joining Manchester United.

    Eriksen played alongside Hojland on Friday evening for the Danes as they beat Northern Ireland 1-0 and the midfielder then spoke about his teammate.

    “I can see him at Manchester United, but I haven’t recommended him to Erik ten Hag,” he told Ekstra Bladet.

    “He is a fantastic guy and a good player and has really developed brilliantly at Atalanta.

    “What the club ends up doing, I will not be able to answer.”

  • Manchester United Rasmus Hojland has been given a €100million price tag.

    talkSPORT understands that Man United ramped up their interest in Hojland earlier this month, with Erik ten Hag looking to sign a striker this summer.

    And the Red Devils were led to believed that it would cost them around €40million to get the deal done.

    However, The Athletic now report that after talks between Atalanta and the striker’s agents SEG, his price in this market has been set at around €100million.

    Man United insist that if they bid, it will not be close to that value.

  • Burnley are interested in signing Manchester United youngster Amad Diallo on loan this summer.

    Amad is attracting interest from many clubs with Burnley one of those who are looking at making a move for the Ivorian, according to 90min.

    Although Man United may opt to keep the winger at Old Trafford rather than loaning him out once again, with his future reported to be assessed during pre-season.

    He spent the last campaign with Sunderland and led them to a play-off place in the Championship, scoring 13 goals in the second tier.

  • Former Manchester United star Paul Pogba has spoken out about his time at the club.

    Speaking to French outlet Views, Pogba blamed a lack of ‘love’ from the fans and the club for his departure last summer following his failed return to Old Trafford.

    He said: “When I left Manchester, I was young. And when you’re young, you want to prove something. I came to Juve, to a fairly young Italian club, it was a big test for me. But I immediately saw the love of the supporters.

    “I saw the love of the club. I really liked how they worked and learned a lot. I went back to Manchester because I hadn’t finished my work there. I said to myself ‘I really want to play with the A’s [the first team]’. I did it and it was a goal achieved for me.

    “We have already won, not the Premier League, but titles that Manchester have not won for a long time. And I came back to Juve, why? Because it’s really the club that helped me push myself.

    “And really the love from the fans, the love from the club that I get, I didn’t get that in Manchester. I was quite surprised when I came back to England, already with the transfer I was given a label. It was quite sad.

    “But it’s two clubs that I really love, that made me grow and I can only say thank you to these two clubs. Maybe I could have gone to other clubs, but it was my heart that chose those clubs and I often follow my heart.”

  • Manchester United have denied that they have had any concrete talks with Theo Hernández, according to Fabrizio Romano.

    Hernandez had reportedly been the subject of an €60million bid from Man United but there are no negotiations ongoing and AC Milan would not set for that price.

    The French defender is happy at Milan and has no plans to leave while the Red Devils are prioritising targets in other positions.

  • Manchester United are set to rival Chelsea and Arsenal for the signing of Romeo Lavia this summer.

    Lavia was relegated with Southampton last season but the Belgian has been attracting interest from multiple top Premier League sides.

  • Ollie Watkins has emerged as a possible alternative to Harry Kane.

    Manchester United have ended their interest in signing Kane having been reportedly priced out in their pursuit of the Tottenham star.

    And they have since been searching for alternatives with Rasmus Hojland, Randal Kolo Muani and Victor Osimhen linked.

    However, the Athletic now report that Aston Villa’s Watkins has been looked at by Man United.

    The striker scored 15 goals in the Premier League last season while starring for Unai Emery’s side as they secured a place in Europe next campaign.

  • Manchester United are reportedly set to sign club legend Darren Fletcher’s sons.

    According to the Athletic, Man United are launching a bid to sign 16-year-old twins Jack and Tyler Fletcher from rivals Manchester City.

    The pair have starred in the academy system at Man City but they are now set to make the move across to Old Trafford for a substantial fee.

  • Manchester United target Randal Kolo Muani has given a fresh update on his future.

    Speaking on international duty with France, he said:“Honestly, I want to keep improving and working hard. It’s my dream to play for the big clubs – why not, but right now it’s off-topic, I’m with the national team.

    “We have two important matches [against Gibraltar and Greece]. The transfer window has just started, we’ll see all of that when the international break is over.”

    Man United lodged a bid of £40million earlier this week, however that offer was flatly refused by the west London side who value Mount at closer to £70million.

  • Axel Tuanzebe’s performance against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League during the 2020/21 season indicated the player was going to be a Manchester United stalwart, but things didn’t work out that way, and he has been released.

    The centre-back has spent the last couple of campaigns out on loan and could never force his way into the Red Devils starting XI.

    In total, he made 37 appearances and was given a nice send-off by the club.

    United’s opening bid was significantly lower at £40m, and though this fresh proposal is still less than Chelsea’s £70m valuation, it should at least encourage the Blues to come to the table to discuss terms.

    On the player’s side, there are no problems with personal terms already verbally agreed.

  • Fabrizio Romano has claimed Bayern Munich are close to signing Napoli defender Kim Min-jae.

    Manchester United have been trying to sign Kim but have failed to get the deal done and now Bayern look set to swoop in.

    Romano has said an agreement is close for him to join Bayern with his release clause coming into effect next month.

    The Red Devils have confirmed Greenwood has been kept on their books this summer.

    United have also said discussions remain open with David De Gea over a new contract, while Tom Heaton and Nathan Bishop have had their terms extended.
