Manchester United welcome Galatasaray to Old Trafford on matchday two of Group A in the UEFA Champions League.

United were beaten 4-3 at Bayern Munich in the opening group game, while the Turkish champions fought back from a two-goal deficit to snatch a point against FC Copenhagen.

Erik ten Hag’s men are coming off the back of a shock defeat at home to Crystal Palace at the weekend and, because of their loss at the Allianz Arena, tonight feels like a must-win if they want to advance to the knockout stages of the competition.

While it is only the second group game, United’s away form has been poor under the Dutchman and they’ll want to try to take full advantage of games at the Theatre of Dreams.

On the other hand, Galatasaray have not lost in any competition since April, so can they, helped by former United man Wilfried Zaha, stun Old Trafford?

The only real question mark surrounding United’s starting XI this evening is whether Antony will start or not as he returns to the fold after a period of absence during which he spoke to police in Brazil and England regarding allegations of domestic abuse, which he denies. In Ten Hag’s press conference on Monday, he said: “Antony will be considered [to play tomorrow]. Yesterday was the first time he participated in team training.”

Sofyan Amrabat is likely to continue at left-back, while United still have Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez and other defenders out injured. Christian Eriksen could come into the midfield.
