Martin Odegaard has joked that he was too scared over-celebrate in a light-hearted exchange with Jamie Carragher.
The Arsenal captain was one of the stars of the show as the Gunners earned a 6-0 victory against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane, grabbing a goal and an assist in the thumping win.

It’s not the first time in recent weeks that Odegaard has shone on the pitch, even if it has led to a little bit of stick along the way.
After the huge 3-1 win over Liverpool last month, Carragher took issue with Odegaard and club photographer, Stuart Macfarlane, taking pictures of each other on the Emirates Stadium pitch.
At the time, Carragher said: “Just get down the tunnel, you’ve won a game.
“Three points, you’ve been brilliant, back in the title race. Get down the tunnel!”
So when Odegaard was invited onto Sky Sports for an interview after the win at Sheffield United, you just knew that the topic of the ‘celebration police’ was going to arise.
Responding to a comment from Carragher saying that he didn’t see the photographer on the pitch, Odegaard laughed: “I was waiting for that.
“I was waiting for you to say something!
“No, no I was too scared to do it today so I went straight inside today.”

Odegaard’s strike was his ninth goal of the season, while he has also provided seven assists to put Arsenal within touching distance of top spot in the Premier League.
The Norwegian star will now be hoping to end the Gunners’ 20-year wait for the title so that he can finally have a snap of him holding the trophy.
