The Mets enter 2024 under a new regime, hiring David Stearns as the President of Baseball Operations and Carlos Mendoza as the team manager. It is a new chapter for a team that would prefer to forget a disappointing 2023.
While fans hoped for a bigger haul in free agency, the offseason has been relatively quiet for the Mets and Opening Day is not far away. However, with young prospects and veteran leaders ready to lead the team, the Mets have a chance to surprise fans and the league.

Mets spring training schedule 2024
Mets pitchers and catchers began workouts in Port St. Lucie on Feb. 14, with the rest of the roster joining on Feb. 19.
Grapefruit League games begin a few days later, with the Mets starting games on Saturday, Feb. 24 at Clover Park against the Cardinals. The spring training slate concludes with a game against the crosstown rivals, the Yankees. The Mets open the regular season at home against the Brewers on March 28.
