With attention in Las Vegas clearly switched over to the Super Bowl, the LIV Golf is just a sideshow.
The Saudi-backed breakaway league is in Nevada for its second event of 2024, but two of its biggest and newest stars may be wondering if the greenkeepers are up to scratch.

‘Legion XIII’ pair Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton both hit out at the playing surface at the Las Vegas Country Club during the third and final day of action.
The pair of Ryder Cup-winning stars are two of the main attractions in LIV Golf after agreeing mega-money switches from the PGA Tour over the winter.
Due to their status, they were both mic’d up on course, but organisers might have quickly regretted the decision.
Spaniard Rahm first let his frustrations out when a put went just wide of the cup.
“His goes dead straight to the right, mine stops,” he was heard saying. “How is that f***ing possible man?”
Hatton then had a similar issue and was heard saying: “No! Again! So many times! F*** these greens.”
PGA Tour and European Tour players won’t be having such struggles, with neither premier competition to compete at the Las Vegas Country Club.
Instead LIV is the only series to use the Nevada course, the first since the LPGA Takefuji Classic in 2006.
