The England boss was keeping a close eye on his players during the 1-0 friendly defeat against Brazil on Saturday night as he looks ahead to this summer’s Euros.

While some of his key players were showing signs of promise, others were finding it tough against one of world football’s toughest opponents.
Southgate is heading into his fourth major tournament as England boss, with fans quick to predict what he could have been jotting down.
Taking to X, one user quipped: “Southgate note pad: ‘I wonder what Mikel [Arteta] would do. Remember to ask Declan [Rice] what Mikel would do.'”
