The Dallas Cowboys silenced critics Sunday night with a dominant, 20-point win over the suddenly struggling Philadelphia Eagles, 33-13.

MVP candidate Dak Prescott completed 24 of 39 passes for 271 yards and two touchdowns. CeeDee Lamb caught six balls for 71 yards and one of Prescott’s scores while tight end Jake Ferguson was able to maneuver around the Eagles defense to catch five for 72 yards and another score.

Eagles starter Jalen Hurts completed 18 of 27 but only managed 197 yards against a stout Cowboys defense that limited the defending NFC Champions to just 52 total plays in the game.

It was a banner win for the Cowboys, who have been good in the past but have struggled to win big divisional games. The victory puts them in the driver’s seat in the NFC East and the No. 2 seed in the entire conference.

Dallas cannot afford to let the win go to their heads, though, as the team has three of their next games against playoff contenders (at Buffalo, at Miami, vs. Detroit). It is a tough road for Prescott and Co. but one they can navigate.

Especially with a defense playing as well as theirs is and an offense that has both rhythm and confidence.

This Cowboys team, in relation to years past, feels like the real deal. It will be on them to finish the regular season out and prove it in the playoffs, where they have traditionally struggled.
