Former New York Jets running back Dalvin Cook appears to be drawing interest from a couple of Super Bowl contenders after being placed on waivers this week.

Cook may interest the Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys if he clears waivers, according to Josina Anderson of CBS Sports.

The Jets waived Cook on Tuesday ahead of a Week 18 matchup against the New England Patriots and he also restructured his contract to forfeit remaining guarantees, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter (h/t Rich Cimini).

Cook signed a one-year deal with the Jets in order to play alongside Aaron Rodgers, but the quarterback suffered a season-ending torn Achilles in Week 1 and Zach Wilson took over under center.

Cook and Breece Hall were projected to be one of the top running back tandems in the NFL this season, but the former’s usage had shrunk in every game since Week 1 when he played 50 percent of the team’s offensive snaps.

The 28-year-old played just six percent of New York’s offensive snaps in the team’s Week 16 win over the Washington Commanders and although he dressed for Week 17 against the Cleveland Browns, he did not play a single snap.

The emergence of Hall didn’t do Cook any favors, either, as the 2022 second-round pick was considered the better option out of the backfield. Hall has rushed for 816 yards and four touchdowns in 16 games, in addition to catching 74 passes for 579 yards and four scores.

Cook finished his tenure with the Jets having rushed for 214 yards on 67 carries, in addition to catching 15 passes for 78 yards.

Cook would be a welcomed addition to the Ravens locker room behind the likes of Gus Edwards, Justice Hill and Melvin Gordon III as the team hopes to make a Super Bowl run for the first time since winning the title during the 2012 season.

The same can be said for the Cowboys, which boast a running back room that features Tony Pollard and also includes Rico Dowdle and Malik Davis. Dallas is hoping to reach the Super Bowl since it last won the championship during the 1995 campaign.

Other suitors could also emerge for Cook, and it’s possible he’ll sign with the team he believes has the best chance to win the Super Bowl.
