Target: Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers, $5,600
While Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has been anything but a dependable DFS option this season, he’s had the occasional good game. While he had two interceptions against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, for example, he also finished with 289 passing yards, two touchdowns and 11 rushing yards.
This week, Love projects as a decent budget option at QB. He’ll need to avoid turnovers, of course, but he has arguably the top option of the week.
The Los Angeles Chargers are likely to score plenty—given their offensive cache of playmakers—which could leave Green Bay in comeback mode. The Chargers have also allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing QBs this season.
Fade: Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys, $7,300
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott should have a solid game against the Carolina Panthers this week. However, it’s a bit risky at this price point. Prescott threw for 404 yards and four touchdowns last week against the rival New York Giants, but Dallas may not be quite as motivated to embarrass the rudderless Panthers.
The Cowboys are likely to test a bad Panthers run defense early and often, and there’s a good chance that Prescott is pulled in the second half, as he was against New York.
Toss in the fact that Carolina has allowed the third-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks, and Prescott just doesn’t provide a ton of value this week.
