Paris Olympics 2024, Day 2 Live Updates: After an opening day full of ups and downs, Indian athletes are all set to enter the second day of the Paris Olympics. On Day 2, shooter Manu Bhaker will be competing in the 10m air pistol women’s final, aiming for India’s maiden medal in Paris. Three big names – PV Sindhu and HS Prannoy (Badminton) and Nikhat Zareen (Boxing) will also be in action. Apart from this, the women’s archery team will be playing the quarterfinals. Deepika Kumar’s mother wants her daughter to win a medal!
Indian archer Deepika Kumari’s mother, Geeta Devi, is hopeful that her daughter secures a place in the semi-final of the Olympics women’s archery team event and returns home with a medal from Paris.
“I pray to Maa Goddess that she blesses her with a victory in her fourth Olympics. Her newborn was just a week old when she started preparing for the Olympics. I can’t control my tears, it will be just the blessings of God if she wins the medal.”

Rafael Nadal Unhappy With Paris Olympics Tennis Scheduling!
Rafael Nadal has voiced his displeasure with the scheduling of the Paris Games. The former Olympic champion’s participation in the opening singles match is now a doubt. Nadal teamed up with Carlos Alcaraz in the men’s doubles event, with the two beating sixth-seeded Argentines Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni 7-6(4), 6-4 to reach the second round.
“A 2:00 p.m. game? I don’t understand the schedule. It seems outrageous to me when I’m playing at two o’clock,” said Nadal to the media on Saturday evening in Paris.
