Contrary to recent reports, under-pressure Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag appears to have the backing of his players.
The Dutchman has been given some respite as the Red Devils battled to a 2-1 victory over Chelsea at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

United’s triumph is one they were desperate to pick up following their dismal 1-0 defeat to Newcastle at the weekend.
Now, despite a fluctuating opening few months of the season, they sit sixth in the Premier League table and three points off the top four.
Ten Hag has faced criticism in recent weeks amid a series of poor results, while it was reported in the lead-up to the Chelsea clash that he’d ‘lost 50 per cent of the dressing room’.
Those suggestions were firmly quashed by the club, with some who chose to run that line being banned from the pre-match press conference.
And post-match comments after the triumph over Chelsea suggest that there aren’t many legs to the tales of dressing room unrest.
Speaking to beIN SPORTS after the win, United’s ninth in the league this season, midfielder Sofyan Amrabat said: “He is a fantastic coach.
“Of course, I worked with him several years ago [at Dutch side Utrecht] and already in that moment he was a fantastic manager.
“But now, he’s one of the best in the world. He’s more experienced. He’s done a fantastic job everywhere he went. He’s a fantastic coach and we are all behind him.”

Scott McTominay has enjoyed a successful spell under Ten Hag this season, with the midfielder now sitting on six goals across all competitions, making him the club’s top scorer this season.
When asked about what the key behind their mentality in the win, McTominay told Amazon Prime: “The manager to be honest with you.
“The way that we’ve approached the game, a lot of light training sessions to keep the energy, to keep fresh and going for the next game because they’re coming really thick and fast.”
United are now approaching a tough run of games that will test Ten Hag and his players’ credentials for potential success this season.

Following a home clash against Bournemouth, they have to beat Bayern Munich at Old Trafford to keep their Champions League hopes alive.
A trip to Anfield to face rivals Liverpool then follows, with Premier League clashes against West Ham, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest completing their festive period.
