One WR for the Patriots in each round of the 2024 NFL draft

Heading into this week’s 2024 NFL draft, the New England Patriots have at least once selection to make in each round (two in the sixth), making for eight total.

There are many holes on the Patriots’ roster at this point in the offseason, and wide receiver is near the top of the list.

At this point, New England’s wideout room includes Kendrick Bourne, K.J. Osborn, DeMario Douglas, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Jalen Reagor, Tyquan Thornton, Kayshon Boutte, T.J. Luther and Kawaan Baker.

Patriots’ de facto general manager Eliot Wolf and head coach Jerod Mayo should be looking for starting-caliber wide receivers throughout the seven-round selection event.

Here are seven wideouts that the Patriots could consider drafting this week, one in each round.

First round – Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State

The son of the NFL Hall of Famer was a unanimous All-American the past two seasons and won the Fred Biletnikoff award in his final season for the best wideout in college football.

In 38 career games, Harrison made 155 catches for 2,613 yards and 31 touchdowns.

Second round – Keon Coleman, Florida State

In 32 games between both schools, Coleman recorded 115 receptions for 1,506 yards and 19 scores.

Third round – Jermaine Burton, Alabama

In 50 games, Burton brought in 132 passes for 2,376 yards and 23 touchdowns.

Fourth round – Malik Washington, Virginia

Washington started his collegiate career at Northwestern (2019-22) before finishing at Virginia (2023). He was named First-team All-ACC in his last season.

In 52 games, Washington recorded 230 receptions for 2,774 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Fifth round – Jamari Thrash, Louisville

Thrash transferred to Louisville for the 2023 season after spending his first four years at Georgia State. He was First-team All-Sun Belt in 2022 and Second-team All-ACC in 2023.

In 49 games, Thrash caught 167 passes for 2,610 yards and 18 scores.

Sixth round – Anthony Gould, Oregon State

Gould spent his entire five-year collegiate career at Oregon State. He was named First-team All-Pac 12 in 2022.

In 41 career games, he brought in 84 catches for 1,360 yards and six touchdowns.

Seventh round – Tulu Griffin, Mississippi State

Griffin spent all four of his college seasons at Mississippi State, earning First-team All-SEC and First-team All-American honors in 2022.
