Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is facing eight charges in connection with a multi-car, hit-and-run crash that occurred on March 30, the Dallas Morning News reported Wednesday.
Six vehicles were involved in the accident on the North Central Expressway in Dallas. Two cars, a Chevrolet Corvette and a Lamborghini SUV, lost control after speeding through the fast lane on the highway, which caused the crash, police said.
The Lamborghini was believed to be registered or leased to Rice, and he later admitted to his involvement in the incident. The latest report verified the Chiefs’ breakout star as the driver of the Lamborghini, which led to the charges he faces for his actions.

Rice, 23, faces eight charges in connection with the multi-car, hit-and-run crash, according to the Dallas Morning News.
Rice is accused of:

Aggravated assault, a second-degree felony, is punishable by up to 20 years in prison. Collision involving bodily injury, a third-degree felony, is punishable by up to 10 years in prison, and collision involving injury is punishable by up to five years in prison, according to ESPN’s report of the story.
Police issued an arrest warrant for Rice and for Theodore Knox, 21, who faces the same charges as the driver of the Corvette. The passengers of the two speeding vehicles will not be charged.
What was Rashee Rice’s role in multi-car crash?
The police report, obtained by WFAA, stated that “a total of six people were split between the Lamborghini and the Corvette,” and both vehicles were speeding at approximately 6:30 p.m. CT on March 30.
“The luxury cars lost control and caused a crash that involved six vehicles. All of the occupants of the Lamborghini and Corvette fled the scene — leaving multiple victims behind without exchanging information or insurance, and without checking to make sure everyone was OK,” per the police report.
The report also stated that “marijuana was found in both cars, as well as credit cards, a $16,500 check, a diamond chain, and the playbook for the Kansas City Chiefs.”
Rice later told police he was driving the Lamborghini Urus, which was a rental car from a Dallas-based car rental company.
“Mr. Rice wants to make certain — and comes to appreciate — that he’s going to do everything in his power to bring their life back to as normal as possible in terms of injuries, in terms property damage and make certain that he is responsible for them to get through that particular part [of the recovery],” his attorney Royce West said in a public statement on April 4.
