As was the case with last week’s Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys matchup, this one features several viable options for weekend-long games. However, managers playing in SNF-only Sunday night and Monday games may want to lean heavily on Baltimore players.
This is because the Ravens have the superior defense. Baltimore ranks first in net yards per pass attempt allowed and second in both yards and points allowed.
Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson ($7.7K) is the top signal-caller in this matchup and should be one of the best DFS plays of the weekend. He always carries a strong floor because of his rushing ability, and the Jaguars haven’t been particularly good against the pass.
Last week saw Joe Flacco torch Jacksonville for over 300 yards with three touchdowns. Entering the weekend, the Jags had allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.
Trevor Lawrence ($6.6K) had three touchdowns last week but also tossed three interceptions. Only the Carolina Panthers and New York Jets have allowed fewer fantasy points to QBs than the Ravens.
We’re also higher on Ravens receivers like Zay Flowers ($5.7K) and Odell Beckham Jr. ($4.0K) because of Jacksonville’s poor pass defense. Jacksonville has surrendered the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing receivers.
While Baltimore has only given up the seventh-fewest fantasy points to receivers, Calvin Ridley ($6.2K) should still be a quality high-floor play. With Christian Kirk (core muscle) on injured reserve, Ridley figures to have a large role in the Jaguars offense.
Ridley had four catches for 53 yards against the Cleveland Browns in Week 14.
We’d suggest targeting Jaguars tight end Evan Engram ($5.4K) over Baltimore’s Isaiah Likely ($3.7K) for similar volume reasons. Engram is now Lawrence’s top go-to target, and he caught 11 passes for 95 yards and two touchdowns last week.
Likely, though, is a strong value play.
