talkSPORT’s Troy Deeney wasn’t shy to critique Aston Villa following their ‘really, really poor’ wall for Phil Foden’s goal against them.
Rodri gave Manchester City the lead at the Etihad Stadium before the visitors equalised thanks to Jhon Duran after a fine one-two.

Villa would have been desperate to enter the break at 1-1 as the hosts grew in momentum and won a free-kick just outside the area.
Foden was the man to take it and did so with a solid strike, which found it’s way into the bottom corner of the goal.
Replays show that Nicolo Zaniolo and Ezri Konsa turned away from the ball in the Villa wall which allowed it to fly in past Villans goalkeeper Robin Olsen.
And speaking on commentary for talkSPORT, former Birmingham City man Deeney was less than impressed, saying: “It’s gone through the wall.

“Konsa and Zaniolo have both turned, they’re supposed to take it on the chest… that’s really, really poor from Aston Villa.”
Deeney later said: “There will be an inquest into that.”
Villa boss Unai Emery cut a frustrated figure on the bench after the goal as City regained control of the game.
They did well to respond to Rodri’s early goal, with their equaliser showcasing the quality they possess in their side.

However, the free-kick they conceded was then followed up by another Foden strike in the second-half.
Emery once again offered a disappointed reaction, only for the City star to then go and seal his hat-trick with an excellent strike.
