Referee Jarred Gillett wore a camera during the clash at Selhurst Park to offer fans an insight into his point of view during the action.
The IFAB [International Football Association Board], the Premier League, PGMOL [Professional Game Match Officials Limited] and both clubs gave permission for the camera’s use.
Footage covers the walks out of the tunnel, pre-match handshakes and the coin toss between captains Joachim Andersen and Casemiro.
However, arguably the most interesting part of the footage showed a Palace penalty claim during the first-half.
Tyrick Mitchell receives the ball from Eberechi Eze, spins past Kobbie Mainoo before appearing to be fouled by Jonny Evans in the box.
Gillett, who had a great view of the incident was quick to dismiss the cries from Palace fans and players and said: “No no, no way, no.”
“He’s run into him for me,” he added. “The attacker has run into Evans for me. That’s how I read it.”
The VAR for the match then confirmed that a check was taking place for a possible penalty but nothing was given and play resumed.

Gillett’s camera worn as part of a one-off programme that is being produced by Premier League Productions for later this year.
It is set to help educate fans about the demands of officiating in the Premier League and aim the enhancing of respect for match officials as well encouraging more to become referees.
Premier League release Youri Tielemans bodycam footage and microphone audio which reveals intensity during Belgian’s Aston Villa debut against Newcastle
Not only was there insight into a penalty check, the footage also displayed just how fast-paced the Premier League is.
Fans got a first glimpse of this last summer during pre-season when Youri Tielemans wore a bodycam in a friendly against Newcastle.
Unfortunately for United fans, the latest footage released will come as a reminder of their season hitting another low.
Defeat at Palace was their 13th in the Premier League this season and leaves them at risk of missing out on qualification for Europe.
Their task will become even tougher on Sunday afternoon as they host Arsenal, a side who are chasing title glory over the next week.
