The New Orleans Saints have yet to secure a victory against any team this season that possesses a winning record. Presently, they stand among five NFL teams that have faced at least four opponents with successful records and have come away empty-handed in each contest. Alongside them are the Cincinnati Bengals, Miami Dolphins, Tennessee Titans, and Carolina Panthers—all sharing an unfortunate 0-4 record versus winning teams.
Among their limited victories this season, Carolina is one of only two teams defeated by the Saints. The other was the Dallas Cowboys. At that time—Week 2—the Cowboys were also fresh off an opening-week win, making it their only matchup against a seemingly formidable opponent thus far.
As recent performances unfold, doubts about Dallas’ strength as an elite team continue to emerge. The Saints’ struggle to claim victories against competitive squads echoes sentiments from previous seasons—a pattern that has become all too familiar in recent years. Since Dennis Allen took over as head coach in 2022, New Orleans has managed just three wins out of thirteen games played against opponents boasting winning records. This trend shows a stark contrast: while they thrive against weaker teams, they routinely falter when faced with quality competition.
