Two San Francisco 49ers stars have been tipped for greatness by a teammate after a phenomenal start to the 2023 season.
The 49ers made an early season statement with a 30-7 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk was the star of the show catching two touchdown passes and amassing 129 yards.
Quarterback Brock Purdy also picked up right where he left off last season, before an injury hampered his ability to throw the ball in the NFC Championship game.
Purdy was ‘Mr Irrelevant’ in the 2022 NFL draft, the unwanted nickname given to the player taken last overall, but has shown he is anything but irrelevant.
He threw two touchdown passes for 220 yards with no interceptions.
49ers rookie safety Ji’Ayir Brown gave huge praise to his teammates in an exclusive interview with talkSPORT.
When asked about Aiyuk, he said: “I always told him he’s one of the greats. His mentality is to carry that over day in, day out. Not only do I believe it, but everyone in the organisation believes that he can be one of the best receivers to play the game.
“As long as he keeps carrying that torch, then he’ll always be great for us.”
On Purdy, he added: “Brock is an excellent quarterback, which y’all got to see in week one. Just the way he reads the defence, his decision making, where he can place the ball at… Brock, he’s him.

“There’s no need to even question it. He’s going to continue to prove himself, he’s going to continue making plays and be great.”
The 49ers are strong Super Bowl contenders this season and face division rivals Los Angeles Rams next.
On the expectations surrounding the team, Brown added: “As long as you stay off the internet you can focus on your goals and focus on what’s in front of you. That’s what I do personally to not feed into all the noise.
“I stay off the internet, stay focused on the playbook, stay around the team and try to figure out the game plan to execute it as best as possible.”
