Aaron Rodgers’ arrival in New York has raised the collective temperature of a long-suffering Jets fan base. It also has raised Rodgers’ fashion game substantially, it seems.
Rodgers was greeted with diamonds when he walked into the training facility Saturday, courtesy of famed silversmith Al the Jeweler, by way of burgeoning bestie Sauce Gardner.

Gardner is one of Al’s most cherished customers. And when the New York lapidary caught wind of Rodgers’ imminent arrival to the Big Apple, he made sure to come correct. Gardner draped a hefty No. 8 chain on Rodgers on Saturday in a video captured by the Jets’ social media team.

One can never chide Gardner for dripping too hard. And it seems his taste is contagious; Rodgers masqueraded as equal parts supermodel and Presidential Medal of Freedom winner as New York’s No. 1 corner draped the glittering pieces around his throat.

Al and Gardner worked together to craft a gleaming mosaic of diamonds and jewels for Gang Green’s new signal-caller. Gardner hinted at the collab back in April on Twitter:

Their vision came to fruition Saturday. And Rodgers looked all the better for it as he showed love to his teammate.
Who is Al the Jeweler?
For those wondering, Al is the architect of such beauties as Gardner’s “SAUCE” chain. He also has made pieces for Mecole Hardman, Stefon Diggs and Maxx Crosby, as well as NBA standouts Giannis Antetokounmpo and Wendell Carter Jr.

His latest recipient has to be among his oldest, at least among active athletes. Regardless, if Saturday’s video revealed anything, it’s that Gang Green should prove to be one of the most fashionable teams in football.
