Manchester United can today confirm that Jess Simpson sustained an ACL injury while on loan at Bristol City.
The young defender has returned to Carrington to begin her rehabilitation with the full support of our medical team.
Everyone at Manchester United will be working closely with Jess to support her full recovery.
