With Mamelodi Sundowns back in the country this week, agent Mike Makaab is looking forward to wrapping up things regarding the contract of Manqoba Mngqithi.
Mngqithi will serve as Sundowns’ head coach in the coming campaign following the departure of Rulani Mokwena, with Steve Komphela and Romain Folz working under him as senior coach and assistant respectively.

Indications are that Mngqithi will pen a four-year deal and Makaab expects things to be finalised this week with Sundowns back in the country from their pre-season tour of Austria.
Makaab explained what the delay has been, as talks over a new contract began months ago.
“We are very close to finalising it. I am expecting it to be finalised during the course of this week,” Makaab said to the Siya crew on Monday.
He further added: “The biggest delay has been the fact that they have been out of the country. He will be the head coach.”

Sundowns, meanwhile, will kickstart their campaign with an MTN8 clash against Polokwane City on August 11 at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
The club has been busy in the market, bringing in Kobamelo Kodisang, Arthur Sales, Kegan Johannes and Asekho Tiwani, while the likes of Brian Onyango, Bongani Zungu, Thabiso Kutumela, Nyiko Mobbie, Katlego Mohamme and Gaston Sirino have left permanently. Ricardo Goss has been loaned out to SuperSport United.
