Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has been accused of getting booked on purpose to ensure he misses the game against Liverpool next weekend.
The Red Devils suffered an embarrassing 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Saturday evening.
The Portuguese midfielder picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in the second half for dissent and will now miss United’s trip to Anfield.

Former Everton and Aston Villa striker Andy Gray claims Fernandes was aware about the number of yellow cards he had accumilated.
“Do you think Fernandes knew that if he got booked, he was going to miss the Liverpool game?,” Gray said on beIN Sports.
“Of course he would know.”
Fellow beIN Sports pundit Richards Keys echoed Gray’s sentiments and pointed out United’s recent trips to Anfield, including the 7-0 defeat last season.
“I think he knows that next week could be a bad day out for them,” Keys said.
“I think if we’re all agreed that he knew if we he got booked he would miss the game, then I can’t think of any other scenario whereby I could allow him the room to manoeuvre on that.
