New head of academy Cavin Johnson
An exciting new era is underway at Naturena with the appointment of veteran coach Cavin Johnson to a new role at Kaizer Chiefs on Friday with the Soweto giants placing an emphasis on the club’s future.
The highly-regarded Johnson has been appointed by Chiefs as the club’s head of academy to oversee the club’s youth academy.

“Cavin Johnson has been appointed as the new head of Academy at Kaizer Chiefs, a portfolio that includes full oversight of the Club’s youth academy and scouting network,” Kaizer Motaung Jr said in a club statement said.
“We are delighted to bring Coach Cavin on board. He brings a wealth of knowledge that will continue to build our Academy programs and scouting network in order to take the Club forward with the aim of imprinting the Chiefs philosophy throughout every level of the Club,” Motaung added.
Chiefs next face Mamelodi Sundowns in a return leg of a highly-anticipated MTN8 semi-final on Saturday at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
Kick-off is at 15:00.
