Kaizer Chiefs interim coach Cavin Johnson could be offered more time to show management what he can do, as the club is seemingly no longer in a rush to get a permanent coach.
Johnson has somehow steadied the ship since replacing Ntseki on a caretaker basis, with two victories and two losses in his first four matches.

The Glamour Boys are playing a different type of football under the 65-year-old, who has ambitions of seeing the club return to their old way of playing, which is attractive, possession football, with players having the freedom to express themselves.
Amakhosi have been linked with a number of foreign coaches but there have not been any new developments, regarding progress in engagements, if any.
That is precisely because Chiefs have not been talking to any coach yet about the possibility of taking over as a permanent coach, according Chairman Dr. Kaizer Motaung.
“I cannot say how many CVs are on the table but that process is taking place. Just a few (identified), there are no coaches available at the moment but there are a few that are there,” Motaung opened up on the process of finding a new coach in an interview on SportsLive with BBK.

“We haven’t embarked on talking to anybody at the moment but we have put a process in place for us to deal with the new coach that we want to bring.
“When the time is right (he will be announced). Any coach that we bring must have pre-season training,” he added.
If Chiefs are looking at appointing a new coach in the new season, to start pre-season training, that means Johnson could have more time to audition for the job at least until the end of the current campaign, as Soccer Laduma previously reported that the former SuperSport United coach is also in the running to officially succeed former coach Molefi Ntseki.
Though, Motaung’s comment seems to indicate he’s not talking about Johnson, yet it doesn’t officially rule him out.
Processes are underway to start assembling a new technical team, as the Siya crew also reported that former Moroka Swallows performance analyst Yusha Said, who has worked with Johnson at Al Ahly, joined the club recently, although his appointment has not yet been made official.
