Kaizer Chiefs are looking to bolster their technical team with indications that one of South Africa’s most experienced coaches is in talks with the club.
It was reported earlier today by the Siya crew that Chiefs are assessing their options and that they want to add depth to their technical team. The news was revealed on the back of the report that the club had identified Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic as a potential option.

The latest news reaching the Siya crew is that former Al Ahly coach Cavin Johnson is in talks with Amakhosi and could be on his way to Naturena.
Soccer Laduma reported at the beginning of June, in edition 1327, that Johnson had been one of the options for Chiefs as the club was in search of a replacement for Arthur Zwane before deciding on Molefi Ntseki.
Indications are that Johnson could be joining the Soweto giants after all, should the talks be successful.

It is unclear in what capacity Johnson will be brought on board, should the parties agree, though it is believed that Ntseki will be staying on at the club.
“It is true that Cavin could be joining Chiefs. It is something that has been in the pipelines for some time, but it only happened recently. I’m not sure what he will be doing there but the team will be making an announcement soon, if they agree”, confirmed the source.
Johnson, who previously worked for African giants Al Ahly under Pitso Mosimane, was recently linked with a move to struggling Cape Town Spurs, though it seems as his immediate future could lie with the Glamour Boys instead.

The mentor was previously touted to fill the Head of Technical and Youth Development Academy role vacated by Ntseki, when the latter became the head coach, but it remains to be seen if that would be the direction the club takes.
While it is clear that Chiefs are wanting to bolster their ranks, it remains to be seen if the interest in Micho develops further. Micho did not confirm or deny the interest, and instead opted not to comment.
