As recently reported by the Siya crew, Kaizer Chiefs were expected to be interested in bringing on board DR Congo midfielder Fabrice Ngoma.
Amakhosi were reportedly wanting to sign the player in January but he ended up joining Sudanese side Al Hilal.
With the civil war and unrest in Sudan, the team has released foreign players including Ngoma who Chiefs can now potentially sign on a free transfer.

However, Siya sources have indicated that there could be a demand that can potentially derail the move of the former Raja Casablanca midfielder from joining Chiefs.
Different sources close to both the player and Amakhosi have informed the Siya crew that a possible high salary demand for the Congolese player could be a potential stumbling block right now.
The source stated that Ngoma is currently getting close to $20,000 (R360,000) a month at Al Hilal and for him to join Chiefs, the South African club has to supposedly do better than that or give him a signing on fee.
“As we speak, Chiefs still want Ngoma. And the player also wants to come to South Africa. However the money that the player and his representatives are looking at could be the one scaring Chiefs off at the moment,” said the Siya source.
“You know Al Hilal pay huge salaries. He is currently getting between $18,000 (R327,420) to $20,000 (R360,000) a month. And that is without bonuses and other things.
“At the moment, Chiefs would offer up to R300,000 as their highest for Ngoma. Now, that’s salary only. What about signing on fee? You see, it’s a lot for Chiefs, hence it’s taking time to finalise the deal. But in essence, they really want him. Now, it will all depend on the talks between all the involved parties,” said the source.

Another source added that Ngoma’s value went up when he left Raja Casablanca to join Al Hilal.
“If Chiefs had signed him before he went to Sudan it could have been a better deal for them. And that’s why he also went to Al Hilal because of the value and the money that he was getting there . But let’s wait and see.
“Maybe because he wants to play and his countryman Christian (Saile) is there at Chiefs things would change. Let’s wait,” added the source.
Efforts to get comment from both his agent Faustino Mukandila and Kaizer Chiefs were unsuccessful as they didn’t respond at the time this story was prepared.
