Orlando Pirates were quiet on the details of Relebohile Mofokeng’s overseas trial, but now insiders have hinted on the development of the young talent’s potential move.
Mofokeng is understood to be back in Mzansi after attending a trial at Wolverhampton Wanderers in England.

The 19-year-old has impressed with his performances, according to close sources, with indications that negotiations are set to commence between the parties regarding a possible big move for the School of Excellence product.

“I spoke to someone very close, and he has confirmed that they will be negotiating for a possible move for the boy. Wolves have been impressed with what they saw in the player and they would like to have him in their set-up,” said the source.

“But they will have to succeed in the negotiations with Pirates first and then take it from there. Things are promising though for the boy with a chance to be signed. That boy is a star as everyone can see and I am not surprised with how things have turned out for him in a short space of time.
“I have been following his career closely since he was still very young and playing in the amateur ranks and I could tell that he would go places. It has always been my wish for him to go overseas and I am happy that is likely to happen this early in his career,” the informant added.
For now, Mofokeng will be expected to fight for a return to the line-up at Pirates as the team will be aiming for improved results in the league and to make further progress in the Carling Knockout.
