THE backers of Price Simakade, who is contesting the Zulu throne, have accused King Misuzulu of brewing a war by bringing thousands of amabutho to support him in court for his case against Simakade.

The case will be heard in the North Gauteng High Court from Monday, 16 October to Wednesday, 18 October and about 3 000 amabutho and maidens are expected to attend the court case.

In addition, about four cows are expected to be slaughtered for them.

Prince Simakade’s backers held a media briefing about the case at Pavilion Hotel in Durban on Saturday, 14 October and Prince Thokozani Zulu, who is leading the backers, said as much as they know that everyone has a right to be supported in court, bringing amabutho is like brewing a war.

“We see this like he is brewing a Zulu nation war by bringing amabutho to be part of the court hearing. We understand that anyone who is in court has a right to mobilise his or her supporters to support them in court.

“But in this situation, we understand that mobilisation is motivated by social media, where one of the princesses from Osuthu Royal Palace wrote on her social media that people must stand up and show their anger about the Zulu royal court cases,” he said.

Prince Thokozani said their concern is that people show anger in different ways and lives can be lost.

“As king Simakade backers, we’re committed to peace and are also committed to following the law to get our king on the throne. We’re confident that we will win the court case and king Simakade will get the throne as the rightful heir of the Zulu throne,” he said.

King Misuzulu’s spokesman, Prince Africa Zulu, said all enemies of the throne have converged to make the trembling to the hearts of the Zulu nation.

“The Zulu King is under attack and so is the entire Zulu nation. Even these adversaries we shall conquer. His Majesty commands amabutho of the Zulu nation to gather in the Pretoria High Court Precinct from 9am on Monday as we move to advance the power of good versus the forces of division,” he said.
