Orlando Pirates are set to open talks with assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi over a new deal, the Siya crew has been informed.
The former African Wanderers star joined the Soweto giants in July 2021 on a three-year contract, which is set to expire in June 2024.
Despite no official title upon his appointment, the 54-year-old has served under three different regimes at the club, first as an assistant coach to Josef Zinnbauer, later taking over the reins in a co-coaching system with Fadlu Davids, before joining the current set-up led by Jose Riveiro, where his is a second assistant coach alongside Sergio Almenara.
