President Cyril Ramaphosa inauguration will take place on Wednesday, 19 June at the Union Buildings in Tshwane.
A 21-GUN salute, cultural and artistic performances, music, and road closures are set to mark the Presidential inauguration in Mzansi.
The event, eagerly anticipated, will take place on Wednesday, 19 June at the Union Buildings in Tshwane.
This follows the re-election of Cyril Ramaphosa as President of South Africa last Friday during the first sitting of the National Assembly of the seventh democratic administration at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).
Ramaphosa secured 283 votes, defeating Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema, who received 44 votes from members of parliament.

Minister in the Presidency Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, describing the Presidential inauguration, highlighted its significance in a year when South Africa celebrates 30 years of freedom.
“The inauguration will unite South Africans from all walks of life, celebrating our democratic values and governance system,” she stated.
The event will also emphasise the commitment to a Government of National Unity. The Amphitheatre will host both national and foreign dignitaries, including heads of state and government.
South Africans are encouraged to participate in the ceremony, which will feature the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) performing ceremonial elements such as a 21-gun salute, a salute flight by the South African Air Force, and an inspection of a SANDF battalion.
Ntshavheni added that the Tshwane Metro Police would manage road closures around the Union Buildings.
“Residents affected by these closures will receive guidance on accessing various exits and entrances. Law enforcement will ensure the safety and security of all South Africans and guests during and after the event.”
